We used fish pretty deep for lake trout but I don't think we fished in the 300 ft range. It's sounds pretty good I going to give a try next time we go out. thanks matty

Bobbing stick? Does anybody know how to spell keppu correctly? At least you can feel the trout mouthing the bait when bobbing, instead of letting the downrigger ball do all the fishing and have all the fun. That steel line is as sensitive as it gets. The new braids are pretty good too. Forget the mono. Too much stretch. You can't even find the bottom with it. If just reeling it in after the downrigger catches it is your idea of fishing, then bobbing probably isn't for you.

Ahhh - bobbing. My keppu in my hand... It'll come back as gas prices go even higher. Kala, Kala, Kala!!
